Is fortune telling illegal in the United States?
I know some places you need a license, but other than that, is it illegal if you don’t have one? Even if you do it for free?

Fortune telling for money would be decided state by state. Recently a North Carolina law prohibiting fortune telling was repealed but I think it’s still illegal in New York. Sometimes it’s a city or town that bans it within their borders.

I don’t know, I would hate it to be that though. The other day in class I said I want to be a bushman, and my teacher told me I’m what god wants me to be. but don’t we get to choose, make something of ourselves, rather than letting someone be a parent and choose for us? Isn’t that the whole of growing up? I personally don’t care what people say about predetermined life. If I don’t want kids, I ain’t havin’ them. If I want to work in a factory, then I am. If I am going to be poor, then be it. If I want to be rich, I gonna make myself rich.

I think maybe some of our life events are predetermined,
as far as which ones and how many, that varies from person to person.
So, our lives are partly what we choose, and partly destiny.
