If a psychic admits he’s a fraud, does it become illegal?
I’ve been giving psychic readings for a psych experiment,(with amazing “accuracy”, mind you) and recording the results. If I admit its all a parlor trick, do I become liable? I assume psychics dont get charged with fraud due to the inability to disprove their schtick, but is there something else I’m missing? Gracias.

If you were charging money you might be investigated and charged with fraud if the customers complained and wanted a refund. If there was no fee charged then it’s not illegal– just unethical.

What is a typical Christian stance on other supernatural things, like psychic readings?
I am not a Christian, but my mother is. Lately she’s taken up an interest in other supernatural things like psychic readings and crystal healing.
What is the Christian stance on these things? Do Christians usually think that this is fake? Or that it is true, but evil? Is it ‘okay’ by Christian standards for a Christian to take part in these things?
I don’t believe in any of it, but it somehow doesn’t seem right that she believes in all of it. Is any of this a contradiction according to the Christian faith?
I think that psychic readings are a load of cr@p anyway, and are a waste of time and money. I don’t believe in anything like that. I’m just wondering what the Christian perspective of this is. Does the Church take a particular stance about these kinds of things?

The bible does not call it fake, but tells us to flee any sorcery which includes those things you mentioned.
I believe some people do have supernatural gifts, but if they’re not being used to glorify God, then we need to stay away from them.
Satan is an imitator of God. He can mess you up with these things….bad! Tell your Mom to go talk to someone in her church that she trusts. She needs to rely only on God and His direction and healing.
